Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2019


The 12th edition of Indian Premier League which is going to start from 23rd March is going to see many new, young and uncapped playing with the star cricketers like MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, R. Ashwin, Lasith Malinga, Yuvraj Singh and many more. The new player will get to learn many new things about cricket and will get coached by the great players of that time like Sachin Tendulkar, Gary Kirsten, Ricky Ponting and many more.

The defending champions and Rajasthan Royals were the two teams who made their comeback in the IPL 2018 after 2 years of suspension as their owners were involved in betting. Chennai Super King captain MS Dhoni who is captaining the side from the first season of IPL helped the team to become the champions in the year 2018 which was the 11th edition of the Indian Premier League.

Chennai Super Kings needed only two players to complete their squad for IPL 2019 so they bought Mohit Sharma (Rs 5 crore) and Ruturaj Gaikwad (Rs 20 lakh) in the IPL Auction 2018. The team is going to play IPL 2019 with 9 Batsmen, 6 all-rounders, 4 Spinners and 6 Pacers.

Rajasthan Royals who ended their last season at the 4th position in the IPL 2018 points table had only retained 16 players from their IPL 2018 squad and bought 9 players in IPL Auction 2018 to complete their squad for IPL 2019. They bought back Jaydev in this Auction for Rs. 8.4cr. The two other expensive players that RR bought are Varun Aaron (Rs 2.4 cr) and Oshane Thomas (Rs 1.1 cr). The team is going to play IPL 2019 with 8 Batsmen, 10 all-rounders, 2 Spinners and 5 Pacers.
