Here is what Virat Kohli said on MS Dhoni’s Omission from T20I Squad against Windies and Australia

The MSK Prasad who led selection panel had announced the squads for the T20Is against West Indies and Australia and MS Dhoni has been excluded from the two squads which raised several questions. In the squad young wicket-keeper-batsman, Rishabh Pant has been included in the two squads, with Dinesh Karthik acting as his back-up.

On MS Dhoni’s omission from the three-match Twenty20 International series against the Windies and Australia. Captain Virat Kohli explains the decision and says former captain felt Rishabh Pant should get more chances.

On MS Dhoni's T20I career coming to an end, India skipper Virat Kohli said that the former captain remains an integral member of the Indian team in limited-overs cricket.

After Team India's victory over West Indies by 9 wickets in the fifth One Day International in Thiruvananthapuram, Kohli told that he was not part of that conversation and it is what the selectors explained. He thinks people are putting too many variables into the situation, which is not the case he can assure that. He said that he is still a very integral part of this team and he just feels that in the T20 format, someone like Rishabh Pant can get more chances.

Kohli further told that the selector felt that in T20 format, Rishabh Pant can be given a chance and Dhoni anyway plays ODIs for them regularly. It was about giving chances to a youngster and it has nothing to do with what people are thinking and he as a captain can certainly assure you that.

India will take the West Indies in the 3-T20I series starting on November 4 in Kolkata. The second T20I will take place on 6 November in Lucknow and third T20Is will take place on 11 November in Chennai. Virat Kohli has been rested for the series and Rohit Sharma will be leading the Men in Blue.

As per Reports MS Dhoni and Gautam Gambhir likely to be BJP Candidates in 2019 Lok Sabha elections

As per Report Ruling party, BJP is in talks with both the Cricketers Gautam Gambhir and MS Dhoni to contest polls from their respective state in 2019 elections. Dhoni and Gambhir may likely contest from their respective states.

Gautam Gambhir's name is linked with the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with reports claiming that the veteran cricketer will contest in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from his home state.

https://www.cricadium.com
Another name which is being linked with the BJP is of former Indian captain and wicket-keeper-batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni. As per reports, BJP is in talks with Dhoni to contest polls from Jharkhand.

The BJP leader once said, "Both players have wide acceptability, respect, and credibility across the country and are regarded as leaders by all sections of society. They are not only leaders from their respective states but also leaders of the country. Dhoni is currently the captain of the Chennai Super Kings team playing at the IPL (Indian Premier League) and thus has reach and mass base even in the southern parts of India. Both these players joining the party will be an asset for us,”.

Gautam Gambhir had last played for India in November 2016. He is currently the captain of Delhi. He helped them to reach the final of the recently-concluded Vijay Hazare Trophy 2018.

Gambhir is yet to announce his retirement from competitive cricket and he may enter politics as he had popularity and massive fan following all over the nation.

As per a report, the BJP is likely to replace Meenakshi Lekhi, who is a Member of Parliament from Delhi with Gambhir.

The reason given by the senior BJP leader for replacing Lekhi was that the reports about Meenakshi Lekhi’s work are not good. People from her constituency are not happy with her work. So the BJP has decided that she will not be repeated this time as a candidate from New Delhi.

On the other hand, Gautam Gambhir had wide acceptability and is known for his social work. He is most likely to be the party’s candidate from the same seat. “ He is a Delhiite and will do his best for the people of Delhi," a senior BJP leader quoted.

If you had read MS Dhoni biography or know about him, BJP would have the advantage over other parties if they convince MS Dhoni for the 2019 elections.
